I have had several tractors hauled in to me in Illinois from Conn. and other places out east. I just posted ads on this site on " hauling schedule" and chose the one I wanted. In almost every case it ended up costing me .40 to.50 cents per loaded mile. The trucker usually put on 2-4 tractors on the load. He must have been doing OK at that figure or I would assume he would charge more. I was pleased in all cases. I can't take time off from work, pay fuel, motel, food, etc. for that price with my own truck and trailer.
