Hi William, Rustyfarmall's advice is the best, pull the gas tank and have it steam cleaned. That will remove any dried gas deposits and any dirt. Then rebuild your carb. I had the same problems on a GM car that kept stalling and pinging. Everyone said it was the EGR, that didn't help. I always thought it was a fuel problem. I silver soldered a 1/8 pipe fitting on the fuel line and hooked up a pressure gauge. The pressure was fine until you accelerated, then the pressure dropped. I pulled the tank and removed the pump and vacuumed the tank. It was full of rust and krud. I installed a new pump and sock over the pump inlet. It ran like new car. Hal
