For McD. clutchs in general,the notches in the fork go over the pegs on release brg. assy. They
push it forword- pull it back and keep it from
rotating. Iam sure you have a Delco dist. A good unit,
it was a replacment for magnetos and fit many
tractors. In the 50s it sold for 39.95 or 50.00
installed.
