When you pull the side cove off to get access to the rev. shift fork you will lose one gallon of hdy oiland you do not have to drain the whole rear end but it does help to have someone watch the rev. shift fork as some times they may be broken and a pice may fall into the range trans then the fun starts. I use a couple of putty knifes to get it started then two ladys foot bars to come up even then place one hand on the rev . shifter rod as not to drop it. I have the tool but don't use it much. P/S make sure that you get the KEY off the shaft before comming up all the way.
