I have repaired many oil pumps like the Super C
use by sanding the bottom plate flat and then
reshimming with the correct gasket thickness. I
also add a steel bar accross the plate where it
had warped. I start with a piece about 1/2 x 1/4
the proper length and drill hole to match those on
the pump. A little grinding is necessary to firt
the plate. Assemble with longer bolts. I have
never had a failure on a pump with this added
