Some basic SMTA questions

1) 6 or 12 volt, pos. or neg. ground? 2) Should the starter switch be located on the starter using a pull rod or a mounting bracket using your foot to engage? 3) Where should the Voltage Regulator be mounted? 4) How do I use the TA? I pulled the TA lever to the rear and it locked, but the speed of the tractor didn't change. Is this a TA problem or a adjustment problem? Anyone parting out a SMTA with parts to sell? I would like to get prices on seat pan, batt box, clutch pedal, and batt to starter cable for starters. Thanks for your time.
