It doesn't quite sound like my drill, but when I was trying to solid seed soybeans, I used the wheat settings and came pretty close. If you are going to cultivate, it might be a lot easier to use an old corn / bean planter. You could just put a piece of tape over some of the cups to get a wider spacing, but then you might have a hard time getting the right plant population. Kind of late for soybeans, ain't it ?

The most trouble I have with the trip is that the grub screws come loose or the lift gets clogged up with grease and clover seeds. Loosen up the grub screws on the drum and move it over enough to dig the crud out of the works.
