Could someone kindly explain how the shift lever mechanism on a 656 is supposed to work? In the middle of doing some loader work, ours decided that it only wants to go into reverse and first; the shift lever won't move sideways to get onto the other gears. We took the battery cover off, and see where the three arms/rods are & where the two square keys go (one was out). But we just can't make out how things are supposed to work; with a key in either of the holes the shift lever won't move sideways. And I don't see how the center arm works without a key. :) Any help would be appreciated, IH was a little more clever here than we are. Greg Betzel
