Greg: There is only one pin or key which ever you want to call it going through the shaft. Those holes you see are just for removing the pin. The pin has become worn in the shaft and is loose. That pin does not have a head but rather protrudes about 3/16 of and inch on each side of shaft. You center that pin back in the shaft and you will be able to shift again.

That will be just a short term fix as you need a new shaft and the pin that goes through it. If you line pin up at one of the holes, just tap it out with a punch and the shaft will pull right out from gear shift lever end. About a 15 min fix when you have the parts.
