Today, we started the M for the first time since I cleaned out the carburetor and installed the fuel filter. It started easily enough, but after starting, it seemed to be about to stall several times, and the choke had to be closed and opened again several times to stop it from stalling. After a while it started running all right, and kept running right until I stopped it, after driving it to our driveway. (This is the first time the M has been parked along our driveway since 1989, if I remember right.) After I stopped the engine, I noticed gas dripping from the carburetor. Why do you think it took so long for it to start running right?
