I was mowing yesterday when the steering mechanism broke. It didn't feel like anything snapped, just that the front wheels suddenly wouldn't turn left or right. The entire steering mechanism turns with the steering wheel including the vertical shaft in front of the radiator. Something is broken between where that vertical shaft goes into the lower chassis and where it comes out. The shaft above the chassis turns, but the lower shaft/axle does not turn left or right. Do any of you know what I may need to fix? Is there a sheer pin in there that broke or is it more serious than that? Any advice would be appreciated.
