DO NOT CONNECT any electrical wire to the magneto.
The only thing you can connect there is a grounding wire to kill the ignition and stop the motor. The switch that was on the tractor originally was not an electrical switch, but rather a grounding switch to stop the ignition.
Believe me! I have three magnetos in a bucket in the shop that were cooked when the repairer did not know that a mag requires no electrical wire.
