Just behind grille at bottom you should have about 1/2 inch round hole on each side there should be set screw in top of hole. A rod fits in these holes and lights are mounted on end of rod. Do not remember where rear light mounted. Switch should be in box with voltage meter. No one had ever heard of transistor when As were made it is just simple switch.
