Paul, Thanks for your thoughtful followup. My Super A is a '53, just before factory installed waterpumps and thermostats. A previous owner appearently added a Farmall waterpump, a nice fitting unit. The problem is that the radiator gooseneck casting does not accomadate a thermostat so it tends to run cool. OK in the summer but in the winter I'd say the coolant feels about 100 to 120 degrees. The real solution is to add a thermostat, but as I understand it, the 113 CI engine does accept the gooseneck that uses a thermostat. This is why I am considering shutters. I will look in a manual. I've been getting by on a friend's 140 manuals. Time to buy the correct thing. Maybe I should just forget about this and not worry about it. Thanks, David
