Casting codes should be on all the major castings of the tractor. They look something like this:
@2.12.S@
Where the @'s look like screw heads (because they used screws to hold the code plates to the molds).
The letters started with H in 1938 and ran through T in 1950. U and W were used in 1951 (V was skipped), then X, Y and Z through 1954. They start again with A in 1955 through D in 1958. The first two numbers are the month and day, so 2.12.S would be Feb 12, 1949. Phil
