Sorry for leaving this out. The casting codes are raised. I just went out and looked at my B's engine, the code is located on the ignition side down near the pan rail close to the front. It looks like this: @9@11@K@ which would be Sept. 11, 1941, which jives with it's S/N as a '41 model.
Codes should be found on the transmission case, the axle housings and torque tube, among others.
Just for fun, I checked my M as well and it's 2.11.S. Interesting that I missed it by only one day in the first post, but I've never really looked at either of them as they both have their original S/N plates. Phil
