That could probablly be done, but you would have to be careful not to crack the manifold. The other problem, is that the manifold being an awkward shape will be tough to hold while pressing the new ring in. Things to remember, not to have too much press on that sleeve so as not to collapse those internal threads! I wish you were closer, I love a challenge in the machine shop. Good luck.
