Thanks Gene. I may be interpreting your post wrong. You said "But the original starters had the button on the end where the BENDIX is and used a push-rod around 9in long and was pushed with your foot." The IT manual shows the A's and C's both having the pull type rod with no mention of push type. My Super A has been under my control since new in 1950 and it is pull rod also. It is a mystery to me why some would have the push type rod unless they were changed sometime over the years.
