Try some WD-40 or JB-80. It doesn't take much lubrication. Be sure the cylinder bore is clean in the block and the groove for the sleeve lip is also clean. Have a block of hardwood and a hammer ready so you can tap the sleeve into place quickly. The lip must be flush with the block surface (or very close to flush) so the head gasket sealing ability is not compromised. Try a new sleeve upside down in the groove to see if all is ready before installation. The sleeves are brittle so be careful!!
