Hi, I restored an old one for my H. I found it at an auction on an old beat-up grill and the emblem was as rusty as the grill. I wire-brushed the emblem down and painted the whole thing with rattle-can aluminum. I then waited a few days to let the aluminum get really dry then I masked off all the letters and other raised parts using masking tape and cutting all the excess off the letters with an exacto knife. I then sprayed the black using a glossy-black rattle-can. It turned out looking pretty good. Only if you follow this procedure, please don't do what I did at this point. I very carefully layed my 'masterpiece' where I thought it would be safe, then promptly proceeded to spray some other loose parts with IH 2150 red and get overspray all over it. Sooo, I got to repeate the whole procedure from the wire brush to all the masking and trimming. Hope this helps, Larry

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
