I want to add a spin on hydraulic filter to my IH364 diesel. Although these tractors are very similar to the 444's that came with a hydraulic filter, the 364's did not. I am trying to figure out which line to put it in. I don't want it in the suction line I assume since it could impede oil flow to the pump. I want it in the return line don't I? I think this is right, but I am confused on which line is the return line. The previous owner added 2 remote hydraulic valves. They are "stacked" one on the other. A line runs to one of them directly from the hydraulic pump. The 2 remote valves are connected then a hose runs out of the 2nd remote valve to the fitting just below the seat, between my legs just behind the gearshifter. Is this the line that is the return and would never see enough pressure to blow off a spin on hydraulic filter? Where can I easily by a kit to do this?

To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
