I could use a little help on testing a starter for a farmall H. The tractor will not start. At first I thought it was a dead battery. Took out the battery and left it on the charger all night. Returned the battery this morning and attempted to start the tractor, all I got was a "click." Pulled the starter and hooked jumper cables from battery negative post to starter case insuring a good ground. Hooked jumper cable to positive side of the battery and then touched the other end of the jumper cable to the post on the starter. All I got was a little spark--started did not spin. Bad starter? Also, this is a 6v tractor. Should there be starter relay on this tractor? Currently the cable from the starter post runs to the starter button on the operator station, and then from the starter button the negative side of the battery, is this correct? Thanks for your help
