Mike, We have a tractor show which is about 12 miles from my place. Rather than trailer my 52 H to the show, which I admit would save on the tires, I like driving it that distance, because along the way there are lots of folks who wave and give the "thumbs up" as I go by. I ususally have to make a stop or so at a couple of the in and out grocery stores, and engage in some conversation pertaining to the tractor. It makes the trip to the show as adventurous as the show itself. This year, I pulled up to the barber shop which I frequent and is along the way, and it was funny to see the place clear out including 2 people with half done hair-cuts and striped drop cloths walking outside to take a quick look at the old "H". All of this tends to make the 12 mile drive quite short, and gives me just one more excuse to take another ride. I can only imagine what a thrill it must be like to drive in a convoy.
