Just to add to what Lee has allready stated, it sounds like you have a micrometer or caliper to check diameter. For a few dollars you can buy a thread gage that you lay atop the threads to determine the threads per inch. I have two gages, one is 9thds to 40thds, the other is 2 1/4thds to 20thds. They are very helpful in determining what you have, as Lee stated there are a bunch of mungrols out there! Better than counting thds! scotty
