The 424 tractors are mid sixtys vintage. I believe from about 64 to 67. Could be wrong on the exact years. I used to own a gasoline version and really liked that tractor, but got rid it of mostly because it did not have power steering and it used a lot of gasoline when you pulled it hard. It easily handled a 6 ft bush hog in heavy grass. If fact, I think it was about as good on the bush hog as my much newer Kubota that is supposed to be 47 HP. However, the Kubota diesel uses less than half the fuel the gasoline 424 used. Also, I had some trouble with the 3 point lift and needed a tractor and came across the Kubota. The 424 lift was repaired and the thing sold. As I said, if it had the PS, I still would likely have it.
