Thanks for the info!!! I think that a used pump would be the way to go - I"m scared a rebuilt one would have so much pressure it"d blow out something else as old and abused as this tractor is. It"s been in simi-retirement since my neighbor bought it 5 years ago but it caught it before that! All the fluids were changed at the local Agco dealer after the flood and the tractor has been run for over a year since then. Then about 3 months ago it wouldn"t start due to old wiring, then the starter locked the motor due to a bad flywheel, then it wouldn"t run due to a worn out carburator. My neighbor only paid $1700 for the tractor 5 years ago and in the last 3 months he"s put another $1k in repairs in it. It"s starting to sound more like a boat than a tractor - a hole in water to pour money into.. Thanks again for the info on pump interchangability! At least I got a chance to save him some money this time instead of just learning his tractor is at the shop again.
