Carp: Just a thought, and I've never looked very deeply into doing something like this, but if these gassers could be bought at the right price, a guy could look at doing a diesel repower. You could be exactly right on the tractor being used very little. The tractor may in fact be in much better condition than a lot of the diesels. Looking at it from that point of view, you would either have to buy cheap or be content with an expensive tractor after the change over to diesel. I guess its really about the cost of the finished product, and the fact each project must be judged on it's own merrit.
