Have an A with an altenator,12v batt and some type of resistor(reducer?) inline to coil.Cleaned all connections but suspect I've been running on batt pwr.Tractor failed to turn over after 1hr mowing.New batt, fired right up. When running,I removed neg bat cable,engine died.Is this normal? Have removed altenator to have tested but it was putting power to resistor.I know very little about electrical systems but thats needs to change obviously. Thanks for any help or comments!
