Just to put my 2 cents in. I just finished restoring my F-20,I didn't rebuild the engine it was in good shape. I had ask for the same advice on oil. I was told to use detergent oil. After running the tractor for about an hour it spun a connrcting rod bearing. Because the detergent oil had broke loose some stuff and clogged the oil jet on #1 cylinder. $70 later the tractor is running but this time on none detergent oil. It ran many years that way and I am never going to use it as hard as it was before. So I'm not worried about what non-detergent oil is going to do .
