I've had this same problem on 3 out of 4 of my diesels. The seal on the shaft is leaking and letting fuel into the engine, YES. Also the seal on the primary pump is letting fuel past into the sump of the injector pump. If you don't fix both seals you will still have a problem. If you are interested I can give you a name of a good place to get the parts. I also have the fuel injection parts manual if you need #s. E-mail Hallocktractor@aol.com
