If I understand you right, you sheared off a spindle in the hub. I can't recomend trying to weld a spindle for a lot of reasons but the danger of having it shear again,maybe in a lot worse spot,like going down the road, and the difficulty of getting it straight enough to keep bearings in it would be good reasons to find a spindle for it. The hub casting number and the bloody stub of the old spindle should let you match up a spindle if Vermeer is too proud of their new ones. Good luck. Hope this helps.
