Just reomve the complete PTO housing from the transmission case. Once off, remove the bolt that holds the gear on the PTO shaft and then use a puller to pull the gear off, then remove the woodruff key, then the shaft should push out the back. It is just a short stubby shaft and new ones may still be available from CaseIH for a price. Or get one from a salvage yard.
