I once had a 1086 and one time when I changed the hyd filter I found a small snap ring. about the size for a 5/16 shaft. I just crossed my fingers and ran that tractor for nearly 7000 more hours and traded it off with never any trans or rear end problems. Another time my 560 started making a noise going down the road and after having the dealer dig a bolt out of it they discoverd they must have left it in there the year before when the ring gear and pinion went out. They did the labor for free since the same shop.
