Hi Harley, One time, I did kinda like what you are thinking about doing, only I did it on an irrigation well. Took a 350 engine, souped it to the limit and strapped it on a 10" irrigation well. Those 350s have a real short stroke and develop their horsepower via high revs; it pulled the pump alright, but I had to have 'er wrapped way up to find the power curve. I think if you do this, you are going to really be disappointed. Big time. My 2 cents, Allan
