Worn governor gears

I have a 46 Farmall A that I love dearly. I have put a belly mower on it and it tries to work but the governor does not seem to keep the speed up where it should during cutting or other operations.

The governor teeth are worn a little thin as are the cam gear and other gears involved. To be honest, I don't have the money to buy new gears right now and really would love to have my A running at least fairly well.

Are there any tricks you guys know of that might help me?
