Haven't seen one of these posts in a good long while! My response to you would be..."Why do you care?" After all, you own it now. The M is a fine tractor and once it is all together will provide you with years of reliable enjoyment. Whatever you use it for, it will earn it's keep. If you got it for a steal, will that make you happier? Probably not. If you got taken to the cleaners? Definitely not! Put it back together and have a bunch of fun with your dad! When he is gone this tractor will be priceless to you. It's not about the money.
