Paul: Having used my mower all summer now, I think the belt pulley route is the best way to go. The V pulley on the belt shaft is directly centered with mower. I have enough speed on mower that I can mow at half throttle in 1st gear. I like that as I have a couple of rough areas I mow, nice to be able to slow down. Also nice to take it a bit easy around big trees and their roots. If one ever got into the bulldozing mode, I think a Super A does have enough traction to do a lot of damage to the mower. Another item I notice is these new Zero turn or front mount mowers have great manuverability, but they don't measure up to a Woods on mowing quality. I never see trails of clippings even mowing grass 4 to 6 inches high. The day after I've mowed you can't tell which way I travelled during mowing. I have neighbors around here with ten times as much invested in lawn mowing equipment as I have. I don't see a system I'd rather have.
