To B or not to B...stuck

Hi, could use a bit of help here. I've helped my dad restore his red tractors for a long time, and I'm pretty good with the sheet metal. I just sold a Super C and bought a little B. Here's the deal...the B is stuck. The owner of it has cobbled up a few things, but the tractor looks to be in fairly good shape tin-wise, but what is the best way to start unsticking the motor? This is my first mechanical experience and I want to be thorough and do a great job. Where is the best place to start work. I've already told Dad I'm going to do this one myself...he has a tendency to overhelp and I'm well over 21, but even in my 40's, I'd like to make him proud. Is there a book with diagrams, etc. that might help me? Any help is much appreciated.
