I have a '47 B that had the left axle removed and replaced with an A axle so the rear spacing is much narrower. I believe someone did this to accomodate the Woods mower width that is currently mounted on the tractor. It really does work great for mowing. Has anyone seen this done before??? This screws up any cultivation I could do with it because the front tires are just inside the left rear. About plowing...what is a good plow for this tractor? Would the rear spacing screw anything up for that? I have some old pasture land and grove area to turn over (I'm assuming very hard). What do I need to look for? Is this the right tractor to plow with? I also have a JD A. Maybe I should look for a mounted plow for that??? (I have a 3-pt on it). Thanks!
