Calcium filled rear leaking at stem...

I have a rear calcium filled tire leaking slowly at the stem. It appears to be coming from the core, although it is difficult to tell for sure. Are these special cores? Just wondering if they are anything special as I want to replace the core to try to stop the leak before doing any further damage to the rim. Hopefully it is not the tube leaking and just appearing around the stem, but that is a possibility.
