B- new to me - Q's

I just picked up a running Farmall B. S/N FAB9153 suggests it's a 1940. $450 It has no starter, no gen, no bat, in fact the only wiring is to the kill switch from the mag. Did they make such a thing or has this one been stripped? I figure they did because there is no place to put the starter. I do see an xtra pulley for the Gen drive but see no mounts for the gen itself. Could someone give me a little info on the B and the versions and/or options available. I am totally new to Farmall.
