Man, what a response! Thanks for being so quick to reply. Well, to tell you the truth, all I did yesterday was to tow it out of the field and go cool off for a while. I won't get a chance to get to work on it now until this weekend, maybe. (The money making job demands attention.) I was thinking along these same lines, but having never run out of fuel on a diesel before, I didn't know about the surge to full throttle. So when I get to messing with it this weekend, I'll start at the tank end and see if there is any junk in the tank or the sediment bowl. I don't think I'll be surprised to find some. If not, on to the fuel filter, check the pump and see what kind of fuel flow I have at the injectors. If that doesn't work, I'll be calling for help again, but if it does, I'll let you know. Thanks again, UFO Man
