706 rearend weight / strength

If I am correct which I may not be so dont hold it against me, The 706 through the 66 series tractors had the same type tranny and rearend, but the 1466 had heavier axles and bulls right. The factory weight for the 706 is lighter than the rest. DOES ANYONE know if the 706 rearend has less webbing or is thinner than the later models to reduce its weight any, is it less Beefy? Thanks,
