I think you would like the 240 Utility, depending on your needs/play-time desires. Power steering would be a plus. Live hydraulics, yes. I purchased a 240 Utility about six weeks ago. My Farmall 340 needed a "stable mate". Mine came with a Du-Al loader-heavy duty unit, that I have put to good use moving heavy objects including breaking up and moving concrete walk. Also had three-point adapter and rear blade. Missing is two-point fast-hitch and drawbar that previous owner/owners have no clue to location-nuts!!! Also, no power steering. ?"s to ask, which you probably already have, are: six or 12 volt conversion; fluid in tires, including front; can you borrow a compression tester and see what you have - can give you some idea as to condition of engine. If you plan on looking at tractor, tell owner not to start it - check things out on a "cold" engine. These are a few things I have done when looking. Also, peek in gas tank for debris. Operate in all gears - I didn"t on this one and found out mine will sometimes jump out of fourth gear-lesson learned the hard way, but I still like the tractor and they are rare. I have an IT manual and a very kind/accomodating mechanic and that also helps. Good luck and I"m sure the board would like to hear how you do. Coffee time!
