Hi Allan, Is the "Red Shop" you"re talking about the one in Chadron just south of the tracks and across the street from the "Cave"??? When I lived up there that was primarily where all the older IH"s in town were and they had a nice 826 sitting on the lot....I"d never seen one before at that time. I used to live just around the corner from there so I saw the place every day. For what it"s worth, I"m currently looking at a 966, supposedly has a fresh engine overhaul and a new TA, but the clutch is bad. Cab and loader(I was told) but the biggie is that it has an MFD on it which I"ll need to haul big round bales to the cows in deep snow if we ever happen to get any again. Last price I was quoted was $8600.00. I haven"t gone to look at it yet, but thought this figure would maybe be of interest to ya.
