My grandfather has an 806 that has some problems. First off the starter is shot and the parts store said I need a year model. I have no idea the serial number is 2518S-Y. I have read on these boards that someone can find out the year model from the serial number. I've looked everywhere and cant find it. My second question is that this tractor runs off of LP. Before the starter went out you had to run full choke to keep her from dying, but it got to the point to where she wouldnt run at all. We changed the fuel filter and put in fresh LP. She ran for about 10 minutes then died and wouldnt start again. The tractor has an Ensign C123 carb. I was wondering if anyone can give any advice on the settings for the adjustment screws and possible causes of this problem. Thank you for any response.
