I have a Super A with Worksaver brand 3 pt hitch and I use a Bush Hog brand 4 ft mower. Thw PTO shaft clears the A frame OK and the whole set-up works just fine.
To lift the mower,I did put on a beefier version of the steel rod that connects the front rockshaft to the rear rockshaft. The standard rod may have been strong enough, but it just didn"t seem strong enough to me.
