Take a look at a new spool valve, hoses, and couplers in a Tractor Supply catalog. $50 wouldn't even make a dent! If it works, you made out okay.

I would leave the breakaway couplers, as long as they work okay. They're safer; if you're pulling a trip hitch plow, and it unhooks, you don't rip the hoses off the tractor and send high-pressure hydraulic fluid all over the place!
