Just yesterday I was reading an article in a 1939 American Rifleman by the ole' master Elmer Keith about long range pistols. He stated that he could stay on target at 700 YARDS with a 2" barrelled .45 Colt Single Action. 700 YARDS!...good grief, I'd have to drive my tractor out to check the target. Gather a few of those old deadeyes together, and prairre dogs wouldn't be a problem!
