Stu - Do you know what inside the regulator is failing (contact points, relay winding burning out, etc)? That will provide a clue to what is causing the failures. A few possibilities: Are the tractor electrics connected positive ground? (Regulator may have shortened life if the system is neg ground). Does the tractor have a stock generator, AND are you using the correct regulator number? (Gen and reg must be matched to each other) If the generator has an adjustable 3rd brush is the 3rd brush set correctly?
